Outreach Service

Once your needs have been assessed and any immediate risks to you or your children have been addressed, you may find that you require further support.

DASU’s Outreach team provides longer term support to all victims and survivors of domestic abuse. You will be assigned a support worker who will work with you for as long as you need; providing practical and emotional support around various issues that may be challenging you arising from the abuse you have experienced. We will work together to identify the things that you want to achieve and put a plan in place to get there.

The Outreach team are able to meet with you at our offices, at your home (if it is safe to do so) or out in the community wherever you feel most comfortable. We are committed to supporting you to achieve long term recovery from your experiences and as such may refer you to work with additional organisations who offer further specialisms such as solicitors, Citizens Advice, the job centre, housing and other agencies. We will always talk to you about this first and can support you to attend the appointments where possible if you are nervous or would like someone with you.
