Domestic Abuse Support Worker

As a Domestic Abuse Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in our mission to support survivors on their journey towards safety and recovery. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing emotional support, practical assistance, and advocacy to survivors of domestic abuse, both face-to-face and remotely.
Conducting risk assessments and safety planning to ensure the safety and well-being of survivors and their families.
Delivering tailored support plans that address the individual needs and goals of survivors, including housing, legal, financial, and emotional support.
Facilitating support groups and workshops to empower survivors and build community resilience.
Collaborating closely with partner agencies and professionals to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to support.

Experience working with survivors of domestic abuse or in a related support role.
Understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse and its impact on survivors and their families.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and advocacy skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
Relevant qualification in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field (desirable).
