DASU Refuge
DASU has a range of communal and dispersed refuge units across our four counties. We offer safe spaces to Women, Men and their children when they have been forced to flee their homes.
We know that people do not to choose to leave their home and go into refuge accommodation, unless they had to. So, we make sure all our refuge spaces are as welcoming as possible and offer a temporary home for individuals at this time of greatest need.
We can offer accommodation to individuals with specific religious or cultural beliefs, limited mobility, complex needs which may impact on their everyday life or if you are fleeing with older children or a pet. We are constantly reviewing our refuge accommodation to ensure we are available to everyone who needs us.
Whilst in Refuge we will support you to secure your new home or return safely to your old home. Once you move out of refuge the support continues through our outreach service, we will help you recover and move on.
